Full Upgrades Update: Complications have delayed converting everything over to the new system. RedRival has, however, made some good progress within the last week which should allow them to proceed with the final phases of the upgrade. They hope that within the next week they can begin to move over all users data.

Full Upgrades Update: RedRival is now in the process of moving everything over to the new system. When that is complete, more testing will be done and then, finally, it will be brought up officially. This should take another few days.

RedRival has encountered problems during their Full Upgrades which will extend their testing period another 7 days or so (they hope at most).
FTP has been taken offline but the File Manager will remain online (but will still say offline on the login page) until they need to freeze the accounts totally.

Full Upgrades are now in progress. Accounts will be "frozen" shortly. This means you will not be able to update your site until RedRival has fully tested the new system.
They expect this process to take around 3-5 days. There is, however, always the possibility it will be much shorter than that.

RedRival is proud to present their merchandise store! Through a partnership with ePromo.org, they are able to offer a number of items bearing the RedRival logo (the RedRival Eagle, by
Sam Silverhawk).
You can see all the items offered at: The RedRival Shop
RedRival also hopes to be providing at least t-shirts bearing the logos of all the finalists to the respective owners of those logos (although, if possible, they want to make these available to everyone).
Let RedRival know what you think in the forums!
Also, the upgrades are just days away so sit tight for a while!

RedRival has begun to implement a Web-FTP system for all RedRival users. In fact, any user can use it as you can enter any FTP server on the internet.
This Web-FTP program acts just like a real program you might run on your computer, just like a real FTP client. It provides a similar feel to a File Manager, really, but may be more convenient for RedRival members.
Please try it out at:
http://redrival.com/cgi-bin/webftp/1.3.3/web-ftp.cgi
And let RedRival know what you think of it. If there are some improvements or changes they could make, post them too, in the forums! They think users will really like this so they want to make it good.

Big news! What you've all been waiting for for half a year...RedRival has received the last part they need and will be entering the process of setting up the raid next week.
They'll be freezing accounts for that. You will not be able to update your accounts. They will be transferring the data to the new RAID system during this time.
For approximately one week they will be testing the new system to make sure everything goes correctly. The File Manager and FTP may be up before then, but don't count on it.
Around mid-October, and possible a little before, they will definitely be up and running on the new hardware with FTP fully in place.
And the sky's the limit from there!

1. RedRival anticipates receiving one last part for their complete upgrades very soon.
2. I-Dotter.com (Domain Registration Service provided through RedRival) is now officially accepting registrations for COM/NET/ORG, .CO.UK and .ORG.UK. They are also accepting Advanced Registration for .CA domains. Please read the notes about .CA Registrations so you know what's going on.
3. As a temporary measure against high bandwidth users who are legitimate but simply transferring way too much, RedRival is creating a "simply script" method which members will link their downloadable files to (.zip, .rar, .mp3, .whatever that is just saved to the visitors hard drived and not run by the browser). This script will advertise for RedRival while providing the real download link for the visitor. This will only be forced upon sites using 4gig+ estimated transfer per month. RedRival post further updates on this when they get nearer to releasing it.
